This job is based in Belfast and we are seeking applications from Business Analysts who have experience working within a software development environment. To apply you need to have been living in the UK for the past five years as the job requires you to be SC cleared.
This Business Analyst job, based in Belfast, comes with a competitive salary of £35k - £45k per annum. The package includes an excellent pension (10% employer contribution), life assurance and a tailored benefits scheme.

What does this job involve?
The main focus of this job is the provision Business Consultancy and Analysis Services to an extensive customer base. This is done via the analysis of Customer Requirements and the translation of these into functional specifications for the customer and design specifications for the software development team. The Business Analyst will support the Project Manager in understanding the customers business needs. Part of the job will include working closely with internal test team particularly in relation to the creation of Business Test Scenarios. The Business analyst will then stay involved throughout the project to manage the expectations of the customer.
You may be required to work on multiple projects at the same time. Most of the customer base you will be working with is based in Northern Ireland so travel will be kep to a minimal.
What skills are needed for this Business Analyst job?
To apply for this job you must have experience in business analysis /consultancy or related work in a software development environment. You will need experience of working to project plans and handling change controls. Sound communication skills are required including the ability to deliver presentations using structure & style appropriate to audience along with good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics. You will work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of client demands. You will be working on mulitiple projects so you need to be effective in the prioritisation of tasks and personal time management, while recognising and flagging issues outside area of own expertise. Ability to think logically and troubleshoot problems.
No one day is the same in this job so you must be able to multitask and deal with pressure. You may be required to complete a Security Clearance check.
